Data deletion

You can delete your HapMap account and everything it holds at any time. Here's how, and exactly what happens.

Delete it yourself, in the app

Open HapMap → Profile → Delete account → confirm. This is immediate and cannot be undone.

Can't get into the app?

If you signed in with Facebook or Apple and can no longer access your account, email post@heskja.com from the address on your account (or the email your Apple/Facebook login uses) with the subject “Delete my HapMap data”. We verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• your profile and login identifiers;
• the photos and clips you posted, removed from storage;
• the happenings you hosted and everything under them;
• your board messages, friendships, and notification tokens.

What may briefly remain

Residual copies in encrypted backups are rotated out on a short cycle, and we retain only anonymised diagnostics or records we are legally required to keep. None of it is used to rebuild your account.
